Celebrate winter by attending the Hammond Carnival sponsored by The Hammond Optimist Club, The Knights Of Columbus, Desjardins, and Hot Country 92.5.    Tuesday February 6:  Enjoy the kids' show Kalimba from 12:45pm-2:00pm at école Saint-Mathieu.  It's a free event for all students.    Thursday February 8: Bingo with the senior at Résidence Saint-Mathieu takes place from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the residence with warm apple cider, hot chocolate and desserts.    Friday February 9: Hammond's Got Home! Come cheer on young local talent at Domaine Mallity Estate (1422 Lavigne Road) from 7:30pm-11:00pm.  Admission is $10.00 per person with a light snack included. Pre-purchase your ticket via email - optimistehammond@gmail.com - tickets will also be available at the door.  POPROCK will perform to close out the event.     Saturday February 10: 10:00am-3:00pm - Free dog sled rides take place at the Alphonse-Carriere Centre  11:00am-3:00pm - Folklor Day will feature an amateur lumberjack competition for all age with prizes to be won. Enjoy the Valentine’s Day theme scavenger hunt on the E.O.S.C. trails.  The participation fee is $40.00!
